Alex Sandik Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 (edited) I'm using the latest driver for my TeVii S460 DVB-S2 card with 4-in-1 multiswitch DVB-S ->DVB-S or DVB-S2 ->DVB-S Tranpoder switching all normal <1 sec, but DVB-S -> DVB-S2 or DVB-S2 ->DVB-S2 Tranpoder switching Timeout 10~20 sec Edited May 6, 2009 by Alex Sandik Quote
Griga Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 There are two possible reasons: 1) Some DVB-S2 channel settings like FEC, Modulation, Pilot Symbols are not correct, so the driver spends a lot of time with trying all variations. 2) A DiSEqC timing issue: Your switch is not fully powered up when the driver sends the first DiSEqC command. Since the DVBViewer Pro channel editor does not allow to edit Modulation and Pilot Symbols, you will have to use TransEdit (see members area) to check and update your transponder lists. Unfortunately the current TransEdit version 3.3.2 is not able to detect TeVii devices automatically (will be fixed soon), so you will have to apply a work-around (see here). Additionally you will find DiSEqC related hints for speeding channel switching up in this thread. Quote
Alex Sandik Posted May 7, 2009 Author Posted May 7, 2009 The board helped channels were switched rapidly: TransEdit.ini shows that the device should have been detected as TeVii by TransEdit 3.3, but the Vendor.1 entry in the [Hardware] section is still set to 0 (must be 15). I change то 15, channels were switched rapidly. Thanks a lot. Quote
Griga Posted May 7, 2009 Posted May 7, 2009 TransEdit.ini shows that the device should have been detected as TeVii by TransEdit 3.3, but the Vendor.1 entry in the [Hardware] section is still set to 0 It should be ok with TransEdit 3.3.3 (uploaded yesterday) after performing Settings -> Hardware -> Detect Devices. Is it? If not, please attach your TransEdit.ini. Quote
