DVBV 4.1.1 and CPU Lock

Hello,

Has anyone seen a problem with computer lock-up using DVBV 4.1 or 4.1.1? I'll be watching TV or a recorded .TS for a few minutes and the machine will lock so that I have to hard boot. I installed DVBService 1.5 after DVBV.

Attached is a support file and a shot of the Application Log just before the crash. I'm a long time DVBV user and the computer has been stable so I decided to post. I thought I try other settings for MPEG2 decoder and renderer and see if that helps.

I could also upload the log entry. It is DVBRecorder source entry that reads: "The description for EventID 0 from source DVBRecorder cannot be found...." This may be nothing but I'm looking for clues especially after installing 4.1.1

Most likely the decoder. MS decoders are not a good choice. try another one.

A non-MS codec helped. There's still periodic (1-2/day) when the computer stalls for 3-4 minutes before resuming normally. I'm trying different codec / renderer combinations and watching any corelation with services starting and stopping.

Resolved - Reverting to an older Technotrend driver (1.0.2.20 from May 08) fixed the hanging problem. I'd been using 1.3.8 (from Jan 09) with my TT-connect S-2400 since it came out but the problem appeared with DVBV 4.1. Its no big deal since the old driver works. My GF just wished my t-shooting was faster :P
