Moush Posted May 7, 2009 Posted May 7, 2009 Hello, Looking for advice on replacing my existing Nebula DigiTV DVB-T and Twinhan DVB-S cards. Neither appear to work in Windows 7. Would like PCI-E, and be able to use in Windows 7 64bit, work well in DVBViewer, and be able to play/record on T and S simultaneously, i.e. probably not a dual card, as they seem to only offer DVB-S or T functions at one time (unless someone can advise differently). Any suggestions please? Thanks, Stephen. Quote

There are two products that fulfill both those requirements, the Pinnacle 7010ix and the Blackgold BGT3540, unfortunately both cards are very hard to get hold of now. They don't do S2 however which may be a problem depending whether you can receive HD S2 channels (not all HD channels are S2). Quote
dvbrewer Posted May 9, 2009 Posted May 9, 2009 Just to add, if you wanted separate DVB-T and S cards, Hauppauge would likely be OK- the Hauppauge Nova HD S2 worked fine for me on Windows 7 32 bit. Quote

Hello, Thanks DVBrewer for your reply. I've done a bit of research and came up with mixed reviews for the Hauppauge, but good to hear ok in W7 32, wonder whether 64 will be ok, presumably if works in Vista 64, will work in W7 64. Quite liked the look of Compro stuff, wonder how well a Hauppauge HD S2 will sit alongside a Compro E700 or E900F? Does anyone know if Compro auto switch on function with the PC will work with DVBViewer EPG, or must it be programmed from their own s/w? Thanks for the replies so far. Stephen. Quote
