SimonP Posted May 8, 2009 Posted May 8, 2009 (edited) I've just rebuilt my HTPC from scratch (using Vista Ultimate) but ran into trouble when I installed DVBViewer 4.1.1. When I came to set up the source (it is to be a slave to the DVBv Server on my main server) there was no option for Unicast Network Device. I completely uninstalled 4.1.1, tried 4.0 and it was the same. I uninstalled it (deleting the folders in both Program Files and Program Data both times), went back to 3.9.4.0 and the option appeared. I set it up, then installed 4.1.1 over the top and it's working fine now. I tried deleting everything and installing 4.1.1 directly but still no network options. This surprised me as many people must have installed DVBv 4.0 on a fresh Vista Ultimate install but perhaps few of them were using it as a network client? I don't suppose I should have done something else to get the network options to appear? I don't remember doing anything in the past but I wouldn't bet much on my memory being accurate. Anyway, the problem was solid for me so you may want to look into it, or make it clear that something else needs to be done if that's the case. OK, I admit to being half asleep at the time but it wasn't clear to me. Thanks. Edited May 8, 2009 by SimonP Quote
Tjod Posted May 9, 2009 Posted May 9, 2009 Change: Adding a new virtual DVB device can be done in the hardware options window via the "+" button. http://www.DVBViewer.info/forum/index.php?showtopic=33795 Quote
