DeepSpace9 Posted May 16, 2009 Posted May 16, 2009 Hi all, I'm planning to change my good old SkyStar 2 with a new receiver card that implement also the DVB-T and DVB-S2. after looking around a bit I'm thinking to go for the Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-4000. This is an expensive card and I care to stick to DVBViewer. So before buying it I wish to be sure that this device is (or will be) fully compatible and supported by DVBViewer. Now, even if I've found around some good feedback about using the HVR-4000 with DVBViewer, this card is missing from the list of DVBViewer's supported devices (ref: http://www.DVBViewer.com/en/index.php?page=features) My questions are: 1 - Is (or will be) this card officially supported by DVBViewer? 2 - Is it a good choice? (aiming to have DVB-S/S2/T) 3 - What can be a better alternative solution, keeping in mind that I do want to stick to DVBViewer as a software for viewing tv-channels? (but using two separate devices for S/S2 and T would not be a problem) Thank you DS9 Quote
