Griga Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 Sorry, but we can't allow such hints in this forum. The tools are illegal in Germany and other countries. Quote
dvbrewer Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 Sorry, but we can't allow such hints in this forum. The tools are illegal in Germany and other countries. OK, but I can say DVBViewer does not have a blu ray decrypter built in as this is accurate. Quote
RichardWhite Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 What exactly is causing the BluRay road block for DVBViewer? Would BluRay decryption be something that requires expensive licensing, or is it simply something the team have not yet gotten around to implementing? Quote
dvbrewer Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 (edited) What exactly is causing the BluRay road block for DVBViewer? Would BluRay decryption be something that requires expensive licensing, or is it simply something the team have not yet gotten around to implementing? Given that commercial software to play blu rays costs 50 euros+ (it is actually cheaper to buy a blu ray drive which includes software although limited to 2.0 channel sound) and DVBViewer costs 15 euro my guess is the licensing and development would be too costly so they would have to increase the price of DVBViewer significantly, or at least have a premium blu ray version as well as the standard DVBViewer, and that would be a great risk as they couldn't be sure how many people would buy it.
