lugola Posted June 27, 2009 Posted June 27, 2009 Hi all, I'm using satisfactory DVBViewer since 2008 with a Dvb-S2 card, but I cannot get running properly with DVB-T card HVR 1300. The program is keeping freezing while watching TV without any rules: it could be after few minutes or after 1 hour. There is no chance to control the system, but restart manually. I have already tryed seeking in the forum, updating drivers and version, but something is missing ! I have a: Hauppauge WinTV HVR 1300 with driver 2.123.27056.0 (25/02/2009) ASUS motherboard M2N-SLI Deluxe with nForce570SLI MCP chipset Sapphire HD3850 Ultimate 512M with Driver Packaging Version 8.62-090520m1-081744C-ATI I'm watching TV with two displays, in the clone (teather) mode. I'm enclosing the support file. Do I need to give up to use DVBViewer with this DVB-T card ? Thanks in advance to who can help me. Quote

majstang Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 (edited) Hi lugola! I had a similar issue recently. I did pinpoint my issue was due to using Nvidia audiorenderer with DVBViewer v.4.1.1.1. They dont seem to go well together and it has gotten worse since v.3.9.4.. I did change the audiorenderer to AC3filter for MP2 audio and my issues went away. I see you have an old AC3filter version. Maybe you should update it. BUT before testing other renderers it would be intresting to know if your issues persists if you downgrade DVBViewer 4.1.1.1 to v. 3.9.4. This is the last version i had no lockup issues with. If the lockups persists with this version you are not suffering from the same problems as me. Good luck! regards majstang Edited July 29, 2009 by majstang Quote

Download Catalyst 9.4 and install it. This is the last known stable driver. Hopefully Catalyst 9.9 will do better, but do not have high hopes Majstang Edited September 6, 2009 by majstang Quote

majstang Posted October 9, 2009 Posted October 9, 2009 (edited) Hi Majstang, I've made the modification to Catalyst 9.4, but the problem persist ! I don't know really what to try again. Sorry to hear this! Several people with the same issue and all with Windows XP has resolved thier freezing problem with Catalyst 9.4, including myself. Cant help you any further. Sadly the DVBViewer guys do not give any support in these cases. Probably they consider it to be driver related issues and not worth thier attention. And in most cases this is true...driver related i mean. How about a clean XP install? Edited October 9, 2009 by majstang Quote
