Mr. Man-wai Chang Posted June 28, 2009 Posted June 28, 2009 I am using DVBViewer Pro at both the server and client ends. The server side DVBViewer had Plugins->Streaming enabled, using Unicast interface 192.168.0.1:2345. The client side DVBViewer had a Unicast Hardware Device enabled, configured to listen to 192.168.0.1:2345 The client side imported the channel list exported from the server side. I keep getting "No Hardware Available" when switching channel at the client side! What did I do wrong? Is there an guide on this? Quote
Tjod Posted June 28, 2009 Posted June 28, 2009 You can't use DVBViewer as client for the NetStreaming Plugin. Use DVBServer or Recording Service as server if you like to use DVBViewer as client. Or if you like to use the NetStreaming Plugin as Server use VLC Player as client. Quote

Where could I download DVBServer? Doesn't appear in members download area. 2. With VLC Media Player as client, how could I switch channel assumed that I was streaming whole transponder via unicast? Mr. Man-wai Chang Posted June 29, 2009 Author Posted June 29, 2009 If you use the NetStreaming Plugin, you have to change the channel in DVBViewer to change the stream channel. I tried using DVBServer (unicast mode). DVBViewer still barked "No Hardware Available"!! I will start a new thread for this after more attempts. Is there a guide on using DVBServer + DVBViewer? Quote

Mr. Man-wai Chang Posted June 29, 2009 Author Posted June 29, 2009 GOT IT WORKING!!! The streaming need 2 ports! Set both Control Server and Unicast Interface to the IP of DVBServer, using different ports of course. (For simplicity, I disabled the Window$ Firewall at the DVBServer end) Quote
