boulder2 Posted July 8, 2009 Posted July 8, 2009 (edited) I have noticed this (small) bug before in several versions of DVBViewer, and since noone seems to mention it, I thought I would do so myself. The bug appears when in Teletext subtitles the colour changes in the middle of a line of text. Colours are used in teletext to indicate different people. So in case you have a long sentence said by one person, followed by a sentence from another person, you would have a line in which you have two different text colours. It seems though that DVBViewer always uses one colour per line of text. The problem is there with SD and HD channels, and several versions of DVBViewer. I also noticed it will take the wrong colour. Let me show you an example. This is a screenshot from "Mad Men" (BBC HD, season 2, episode 1). With Teletext you get this : With DVB subtitles you get the right picture : How do I know which one is the right one ? I used ProjectX to demux the file and extract subtitles in the SSA format, which allows for different colours. The colours that are there in hex format correspond to white and cyan, not white and yellow as it is displayed in Teletext by DVBViewer. "Dialogue: Marked=0,0:12:58.86,0:13:03.10,MainT,,0000,0000,0000,!Effect,{\q2\a2}{\c&HFFFFFF&}There has to be advertising for\n{\c&HFFFFFF&}people who don't have a sense of\n{\c&HFFFFFF&}humour.{\c&H00FFFF&} I understand." support.zip Edited July 8, 2009 by boulder2 Quote
