Support for MPEG-4 (H.264 and AAC)

One simple question: do I need to install any third party software to have support for H.264 and AAC?

AAC: Just a DVBViewer add-on plus a third party DLL (e.g. included in ffdshow). See here.

 

H.264: A free decoder like ffdshow will do in case of SD H.264. In case of HD H.264 a commercial one supporting hardware acceleration may be required, e.g. Cyberlink. Check if the software shipped with your DVB device installs such a decoder.
