patti Posted August 2, 2009 Posted August 2, 2009 (edited) Hello, my setup is like this: recording service 1.5.0.25 beta using Terratec Cinergy S2 PCI HD card and serving DVBViewer 4.2.1 through my home network. The problem I am having is that DVBV 4.2.1 is unable to open any channels from the Terratec card after rec svc computer has been restarted. I can get around this problem by stopping rec svc and using DVBV version 4.0 to open some channel directly on the tuner without rec svc serving DVBV. After that I restart rec svc and 4.2.1 (and 4.1.1.1 too, both have the same problem) can open channels on my sat card without problems until next restart. I had this problem also without recording service. I have also tested several Terratec drivers and have not found any solution to my problems. Currently my driver is 1.1.0.601 and have tried the latest 1.1.1.301 and latest beta 1.1.1.501 drivers too with no success. This sounds like a diseqc problem to me as if I remember correctly 4.1.x had diseqc rewritten and that would explain why 4.0 works and somehow "opens" the card for 4.2.1 to use. Support zip included, thanks, PK Edited August 2, 2009 by patti Quote
Lars_MQ Posted August 2, 2009 Posted August 2, 2009 Please use the current support tool. The old version you are using doesn't take the changed structure of the service configuration files into account. Quote

patti Posted August 11, 2009 Author Posted August 11, 2009 (edited) It seems that I solved this problem after reading your extensive diseqc tutorial. For some reason 4.0 accepts SimpleA as diseqc command which I had set up but this does not work for 4.1 and higher. 4.1 and higher only accept this setting after 4.0 has tuned a channel using SimpleA command. I switched to PosA/OptA command and now channel tuning works without problems after a restart with 4.2.1 too. Thank you for the tutorial Case Closed Patti Edited August 11, 2009 by patti Quote
