Help with 2 sat tuners on 28.2E & 16E

Hi Guys

 

Hope you can help me, i have 2 sat cards a hauppauge s2 and fireDTV s2. both cards have there own dish, the hauppauge points to 28.2 and the fire points to 16.

 

i am have trouble getting DVBViewer to switch between sat cards i can watch channels from as 28.2 but not 16. i have scanned the channels using transedit and imported them into the channel list. i didn't use any DiseqC settings as each card uses a differant sat dish.

 

do i have to add some setting to get DVBViewer to auto switch which sat card it uses?

 

further to this i also want a client system to work over the network in the same way. getting the server to connect is not a problem i have it working fine now but just the same problem with channel changing.

Settings -> Options -> Hardware: For each DVB device configure the channel group(s) that it is able to receive.

 

Channel -> Channel Editor: Right-Click an entry on the left (channel, category or whatever) -> Set Channel Group sets the channel group for all contained channels.

 

This is a way to manually assign channels to a particular device. E.g. if you set channels to group B, DVBViewer will only use DVB devices for them whose group setting includes group B. Also supported by TransEdit:

I now have it switching sat cards fine, but have come across another issue regarding the server.

 

i can change channels fine on both local and client machine when only 1 is working, but as soon as i turn DVBViewer on the other machine, i get not hardware availble when i try to switch to the same channel that is being played on the other system. which seems strange, as i have had them both streaming the same channel before i set these groups.

 

any thoughts?
