majstang Posted August 8, 2009 Posted August 8, 2009 (edited) Hi! Downloaded TSPlayer 2.1.1.0 and did try it out, cuz my MPC-HC have some issues with .ts files. TSPlayer works very well most of the time, but I sometimes encounter what i should refer as an anomalie...some recorded shows (recorded with DVBViewer 4.2.1) do not show any video with TSplayer only sound. When playing the file in MPC-HC i have both video and sound. Playing the file in DVBViewer itself gives the same result as with TSPlayer. What could be causing this? majstang Posted August 8, 2009 Author Posted August 8, 2009 (edited) Search Depth ? Lazy CAM Issue ? It was 6 mb at first. Increasing this number makes no difference. Tried as much as 200 mb and still only sound and no video. I will check that lazy cam issue to see if that has any impact on this issue of mine. Thanks! Edited August 8, 2009 by majstang Quote
majstang Posted August 8, 2009 Author Posted August 8, 2009 Yes, that tool of yours worked well! Didn't know the .ts containers had these kind of issues...very much like the early days mp3 container with corrupted data in the beginning. Which forced us to use MP3 Trim on 30% of every mp3 file one downloaded. Good that you are allowing us to change the output format of ones recorded files. I'm back to mpg now which works well for me. majstang Posted August 9, 2009 Author Posted August 9, 2009 Hi again! Got problems when choosing .mpg as output format of recorded shows as well. The problem seem to be similar with the .ts one. It seems approximatley one out of five recordings get the problem. Last one wasnt playable with DVBViewer v.4.2.1 or MPC-HC. To my surprise it was playable with TSPlayer, but the index seem to be screwed up. One have to manually move positionmarker past the beginning of the file and then it plays good. This is very peculiar cuz i did never have this problem with DVBViewer v.3.9.4 or v.4.0. It came with v.4.1.1.1 and v.4.2.1. If this really is because of a lazy cam issue why didnt i have this problem before? I havent changed my setup other than upgrading DVBViewer versions...! Quote
Griga Posted August 9, 2009 Posted August 9, 2009 Are there any errors in the recorder log? The "lazy CAM issue" only concerns TS. Quote
majstang Posted August 9, 2009 Author Posted August 9, 2009 If you're refering to svcrec.log in the DVBViewer datafolder, so no i can not see any errors in there. I'm not sure how an error should present itself in the log file in the first place. I have different values regarding "Discontinuities" though. The value varies from 0 to 11 on about 50 recordings, but this number seem not to have any connection/relation to my faulty recordings. Quote
