I use 4 DVB-S and 2 DVB-T with one instance, so it does work.

Is there any link for how to set 4 card to DVBViewer and how to stream from other frequency(Transponder)

thank you very much

The viewer does the handling, normally no need to do a special setup for the cards.

Install BDA driver for all cards.

Options > Hardware > Scan Devices

the DVBViewer is ready

I'm quite sure that you don't need them don't touch them.

DVBViewer can record normally all Channels of one Transponder at the same time.

If (like you) you have 2 cards this funktions with two Transponders. Thereby DVBViewer knows by itself if one card is used allready and does select the second card. Same goes if more than 2 cards.

Like Lars and Tjod said: Dont worry and let the DVBViewer do the work. :)

Can you explain more specific?

Hi Lars..

What if you want to record two channels from seperate transponders at the same time?

Is there a way to open two DVBViewer Pro's ??

Or any tricks ?

I tried to double the DVBViewer's on my SS and SSHD (TTBudget3200) installed computer, but the second Dvbv .. never worked!

EDIT:

I think i got something useful.

2 instances of DVBViewer Pro

PIP for recording two seperate transponders, should be the answer!

Wish i had the opportunity to do that, unfortunatly i have just 1 LNB cable :)

@Lars,

So how many PIP's can you open by the way?

Any limits?

Just start the recordings where is the Problem?

You only need one DVBViewer Pro even if you record with 10 cards from 10 different transponders.

why?

Than it is realy a bad idea to use more than one DVBViewer at the time.

In this case you have to activate "Shared LNB" (Options > Hardware) because you can only receive channels simultaneously if their polarization, frequency band and DiSEqC settings do match.

  • 4 months later...

Yesterday I added a 2nd PCI Skystar 2 card as I need to record from up to four programs from two satellites at the same time and will need multiple receivers to do this. I had set channels on one satellite to be Group A and the other as Group B. When I tried to select a channel received by a different satellite via the second card, it failed, even though channel scan found and identified the program multiplex(s) on both satellites. I then set up satellite 1 to channel list group A. I set up the second satellite to group B. went to Settings->Options->Hardware. Having previously scanned and having seen both receivers listed as PCI-1 and PCI-1 I then set Channel Group for one receiver to Group A and the other to Group B. I went back to the main screen and tuned and now the receiver seems to take the desired action and select the desired receiver. Maybe this will work.
