Problem with Technotrend S2-3650 CI and Technotrend CT3650 CI not desc

I have bought and received a Technotrend S2-3650 CI and a Technotrend CT3650 CI.

 

I'm testing the cards with CAM. I have not tested DVBViewer as my main insteress is Transedit. For the descrambling to work the CAM needs

info about which service to descramble ( send CA_pmt to the CAM). I thought this was workning by selecting the preview in TransEdit but it seems

like the CAM is not instructed to descramble any service. This is quite disappointing as I'm not able to make descrambled TS recordings.

 

I hope there are just some info I have missed.

Transedit does not support CI. Only the DVBViewer Pro does support the CI.

I have tested DVBViewer Pro and it works.

 

I was hoping the CAM (TT card) will keep the CAM setup when I stopped

DVBViewer and started TransEdit on the same transponder but it did not work. Seems like the TT card

wipe out the CAM settings when the USB is initialized.

 

Anyway TS recording in DVBViewer will probably be all I require anyway but it would

have been really nice if it was working with Transedit too.

 

Btw, is there any possibilities of DVBViewer recording

absolutely all data(all PIDs) on a transponder ?

 

Perhaps I can stream complete TS from DVBViewer to TransEdit for IP ?

The CAM does not decrypt the whole stream. You can record the stream, but it will stay encrypted, except streams of the tuned channel. To record the whole transponder open the recorder window, create a timer and select the |> triangle button on the right side of the timer description. There you choose -> special -> transponder dump.
