pruemmler Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 (edited) I am trying to receive the CBS network feeds on Galaxy 19 (97.0 W) which are 4.2.2 video. They scan in with transedit as mpeg2. My scan parameters were, freq 4080V symbol 29820, modulation 8QSP, DVB2 checked, Pilot checked, FEC 8/9. When I look at the video in DVBViewer Pro, it says mpeg2 not H.264. How can I force it to use on the the H.264 codecs? Why would it scan as mpeg2? The support zip was done after a scan of 4080 and an exit of transedit. If I record the channel and play it with VLC, the video displays fine, so it must be a codec problem. What codec do I need for 4.2.2 and how do I force DVBViewer Pro to use that codec? support.zip Edited August 13, 2009 by pruemmler Quote
Derrick Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 How can I force it to use on the the H.264 codecs? Why would it scan as mpeg2? By transcoding it to H.264. It is mpeg! What codec do I need for 4.2.2 Elecard or Moonlight (it's the same only with a different label ) Quote
Griga Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 You may want to try ffdshow first. It decodes some of my 4.2.2 samples (not all). Quote

I got it to work by going to setting>options>directx and changing all the mpeg2 codecs. There were about 12 of them. ffdshow didn't work but MainConcept(muvee) MPEG-2 Video Decoder did work. I would have thought that the scan video would have been H.264 but it was mpeg2. pruemmler Quote
