majstang Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 (edited) Hi! In changelog for DVBViewer 4.1 it says "Change: On Standby/Hibernate in Vista the DVBViewer now closes down the playback. On waking up the last channel is tuned (if activated in the TV+Radio options). It depends of the driver of the DVB device, if this works." Its really great this is fixed, but for me it doesnt work perfect. Sometimes the channel isnt retuned after waking up HTPC from hibernation. Lets say it works 80 % of the time, but fails 20%. When it fails it is not possible to simply change channel, which was possible with earlier versions, but you are forced to close DVBViewer down and restart it to get it to work again. Why is this? In the changelog it says the fix is for Vista and is it possible it doesnt work 100% because i have Windows XP SP2? Maybe the fix wasnt completly adapted for XP? majstang Posted September 6, 2009 Author Posted September 6, 2009 (edited) This issue seem to be interrelated with the faulty ATI Catalyst drivers 9.5 to 9.8, which also makes windows xp freeze when running DVBViewer at the same time. When reverting back to last stable driver Catalyst 9.4 i havent had any failings of re-tuning last seen channel when resuming from hibernation and no freezings either.
