gsasa Posted August 26, 2009 Posted August 26, 2009 Respect. I have a Technisat SkyStarHD card and use the DVBViewer. I know that this card has the ability to connect to it CI slot that allows viewing of paid channels. I do not know anything about it, and I would like to find out as much information as interested in me two packages. One is encrypted in Nagra 3 system, the other is encrypted in VideoGuard Express system. So, I'd prayed more information about this because I do not know absolutely nothing of use in the field of CI slots. Quote
Benarty Posted August 27, 2009 Posted August 27, 2009 I thin that you mean two different bouquets. In that case, You need best two DVB-S(2) cards, two CAM modules (one Nagra3, the other Videoguard) and valid subscription for each provider. Valid means valid smartcard. Keep in mind that some providers can use a closed system, that means that you can't receive such channels with a computer based system. Protection of closed systems is based on MAC address of the hardware. One DVB card can show only 1 channel, except if the channels are placed on the same transponder, then the card could see all channels. This works good under FTA (Free to air) channels. But encrypted channels is a problem since most cam's can only unlock 1 channel. So that's why you need two cam's. There are cam's that support more encryption ways. But I have no clue about nagra3 and videoguard. Even when the cam can deals with both, there is still the problem that most cam's can only unlock 1 TV channel. Quote
