Windows 7 & Catalyst 'Theatre Mode'

I've just upgraded from XP with Ati Catalyst 9.5 to Windows7 with Ati Catalyst 9.8. I've got a 10" VGA LCD screen as my monitor and a 47" Full HD LCD as my TV. In the past with Windows XP the 'Theatre Mode' enabled me to have full screen viewing on the TV and I could access my channel list and scheduler on the 10" VGA. Apparently this does not work now with Windows7 !! See here:

I thought it would be a nice feature in DVBViewer (as this seems not to be going away) to have an option to show the video in fullscreen on the 2nd monitor.

This could be acheived in a number of ways:

. for example being able to detatch the menu from the DVBViewer - so the user can have options etc in 1 screen and video in the other

. Alternatively, having a 2nd 'slave' window always ontop controlled only by the 1st.

I'm sure plenty of Windows7 users coming up will be very greatfull of a solution.

Regards.

I know the post is old!

But a brilliant idea.. and YES... a VERY usefull function!!

The Theatre mode and DualView disapeared from Vista and ahead, BUT it also disapeared in drivers for XP !!

Nvidea and ATI support told it is for copyright reasons.

Which means : the funcktion made it possible to make digital copies of DVD's.

A step back to the stoneage...

But here it is a mega problem hence I have a projector in another room.. imagine to drag DVBV. from one room to another, right click, click fullscreen without being able to see the projector..

NOT EASY!!..

earlier the Theatre mode/DualView automatically went fullscreen on the projector, means it also stayed on the PC monitor, and could use two different solutions !

One thing has become bettet in Win7 DVBv. returns to monitor one, when the projector is turned off.
