majstang Posted September 6, 2009 Posted September 6, 2009 Add: Tweaks: MinVolume in case you can hear something even if muted, lower this value. From DVBViewer 4.1 changelist. I would like to remind the developers of this software that there are still some sound coming through when putting volume at 0% and muted as well. When DVBViewer is at 0% volume it is like if it would be on 4%. All other applications i have tested do not show this (MPCHC, SageTV, Windows Media Player) not even your own TSPlayer. They are completly silent at 0%. But when increasing these applications volume to 4%, they sound exactly like DVBViewer at 0%. When dealing with sound from a HTPC connected to a TV-set, there is a problem not getting high enough sound to TV speakers. Windows dont act as an amplifier that well and not the TV-set either. This forces me to increase the volume to 100% on the TV-speakers. The sound coming from DVBViewer when 0% volumed is hearable from volume 70% up to 100% on the TV-set. If i decrease the TV-speaker volume to under 70% i gets really low volume at 100% on DVBViewer and 100% from Windows. This is getting REEEEEALLY annoying. Are there any chances this could be reviewed during next beta-testing? I would LOVE to have it fixed... Quote

majstang Posted September 6, 2009 Author Posted September 6, 2009 http://en.DVBViewer.tv/wiki/Tweaks Wow, thanks Tjod! Now its tweaking time Quote
majstang Posted September 6, 2009 Author Posted September 6, 2009 SORTED! SOO NICE getting rid of that annoying sound! Works a lot next to this TV-set. My suggestion to you guys is to make -10 000 as a new MinVolume default value. -9000 works fairly well also, but there are hintable noise coming through. -8000 is far too high however. Maybe a change of this value doesnt effect anything else? It was a smooth solution for a really annoying problem. Thanks a million, Tjod and the DVBViewer guys! You rock! Quote
Tjod Posted September 6, 2009 Posted September 6, 2009 If you use "Use DVB Clock" and the Volume is to low by mute audio can get out of sync. http://www.DVBViewer.info/forum/index.php?...st&p=220438 Quote
