Recording service - Service will not start ?

I have installed DVBViewer Recording service on a Windows 7 64 bit.

But service will not start.

Is recording services not compatible with Windows 7 64 ? What about Vista 64 bit?

Does the DVBViewer work there without problems?

DVBViewer starts up, but it is very unstable

 

Is I posible to get the recording service to run on Windows 7 x64 or do you recommend Windows 7 32 bit, Vista 64 bit or maybee even old XP 64 bit.

It runs fine with XP 32 bit. But since my new pc has 4 gb of ram I would like to move to 64 bit if possible.

It is not a good idea to run on 64 bit platforms. Drivers made to 64 bit are often buggy. You have 4 Gb RAM, of which windows 32 bit can use it all, exept the amount used to Grahics card etc. This normaly result in 3 Gb. left for windows, more than you will ever need in a HTPC
