Cian Posted October 30, 2009 Posted October 30, 2009 Hi All, I am thinking of adding a 2nd Sat card to my configuration - I currently have a Terratec Cinergy S2 PCI. I would like to be able to watch two channels (one full screen and one PIP) on different frequencies but the same polarisation on Astra2 - Full screen is BBCHD and picture insert is one of the interactive channels. (Both are Vertical) Also, will a passive F-type T-Splitter at the PC allow me to do this, since I only have one feed into the room with the PC. Thanks, Cian. Quote
Devastation Posted October 30, 2009 Posted October 30, 2009 There are 4 Frequencie-bands: vertikal low, vertikal high, horizontal low, horizontal high. If the 2 channels are on the same (e.g. vertikal hight) so you are able to watch the two. If there is a cam needed you therefore need two of them and also two cards. (if both channels need a cam) Be careful for the splitter. It must be build special to use with sat and for all 4 bands. And it must let pass the switching signal from the card. Maybe if you use the cheapest you can have problems. Quote
Cian Posted October 30, 2009 Author Posted October 30, 2009 (edited) Where is the split between high and low? The frequencies are 10847 V and 12441 V - Are they too far apart? The kind of splitter I am tinking of is literally a basic T-Splitter - No filters, no power, no nothing!! If this is not going to work, what Amp would you suggest? (Both are Vertical) ..sorry, not possible with a single lnb. The interactive channels ("red button" services) stream-0 - stream-6 are in the high band and BBC HD is transmitted on the low band. Quote

Guess I better try and get another feed in here - have spare feeds on the OctoLNB. Quote
