DisEqC 1.0 limitations & DVBViewer

I'm using Hauppauge satellite TV PCI cards with DVBViewer software, and I'm happy to say that this is an impressive combination. There is one limitation on the hardware that I would like to exceed if I can.

I have a Nova-S-Plus, HVR-3000, & WinTV-CI installed on a Windows XP SP3 PC (AMD X2 2.6Ghz 5050e, 4GB PC RAM). These Hauppauge satellite TV cards are limited to supporting DisEqC 1.0 only, which supports a maximum of 4 satellite dishes.

I have each TV card connected to a DisEqC 1.0 switch (actually the switch supports DisEqC 1.0, 1.1, 1.2 see http://tiny.cc/G3EWP ), and each DisEqC switch is connected to the same 4 LNBs via splitters, so the same LNB's are accessed by each TV card. Since each LNB is exclusively all Vertical or all Horizontal polarity channels, there are no conflicts.

My question is has anybody found a way to extend the DisEqC 1.0 limitation so that more than 4 LNB's can be connected. I'm wondering if DVBViewer may enable me to connect more than 4 LNB's.

Would the addition of a 22kHz switch enable 2 DisEqC switches to be connected to one TV card?

Eg. TVcard>>>22kHz>>>DisEqC_A >>LNB_A1 to LNB_A4

........................0kHz>>>DisEqC_B >>LNB_B1 to LNB_B4

Total number of LNB's = 8

Can I connect several DisEqC 1.0 switches in a daisy chain to enable connection to more than 4 lnbs?

Eg. TVcard>>>DisEqC_A>>>LNB_A1

....................................>>>LNB_A2

....................................>>>LNB_A3

....................................>>>DisEqC_B>>>LNB_ B1

.........................................................>>>LNB_B2

.........................................................>>>LNB_B3

.........................................................>>>LNB_B4

Total number of LNB's = 7

Or maybe there is some other way to connect more than 4 LNB's

Perhaps someone has some setup that works well and could let me know what to do.

Many thanks,

Thanks again Tjod, that clears things up ..... DVBViewer does not support cascading DisEqC switches.
