ii141c Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 In DVBViewer you can see, in the bottom status bar, the resolution in pixels and the number of frames per second (fps) of the transmitted television picture, followed by the bitrate of the audio signal (kbps, k-bit per second) and the sampling rate in kilohertz. My questions are about frames per second of transmitted television. I have my PC with DVBViewer connected to a 42" plasma TV through PC connector (VGA). In PC, i have a monitor frequency of 60 KHZ (I can select 60 or 75, but not 50 because it is not a allowed mode). I see, above all in football transmisions, an annoying effect like freezing picture. I think it could be because 60 is not a multiple of 25 and it is necessary to repeat some frames to complete from 50 to 60 (i think that it is called judder effect). 1.-Is this freezing effect due to judder effect? 2.-Is DVBViewer affected by judder effect? 3.-I think that there is some programms (like Reclock) that fits frames per second to monitor frequency to solve judder effect. Does DVBViewer do something like this? 4.-Status bar information about frames per second is only for information or DVBViewer use this parameters for anything? Thank you in advance. Quote
raty Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 The effect you mention is that consistant with out of sync video to frame rate. I have used reclock (new free version) with DVBViewer when playing 24fps through my Plasma (does not support this rate). Reclock works great but do not use the custom render option of the Beta's as it does not work - direct stream bypasses the mechanisim. Quote
ii141c Posted November 16, 2009 Author Posted November 16, 2009 What new free version do you use? I have 1.6. I start up DVBViewer and Reclock does not start (with Media Player, for exemple Reclok starts OK), what do you do for Reclock automatically start when you use DVBViewer? Do you have to select any special codec in video or audio options (i use cyberlink codecs)? What do you mean with "Reclock works great but do not use the custom render option of the Beta's as it does not work - direct stream bypasses the mechanisim."? With reclock and DVBViewer you see TV ok without this frame-sync effect? Thank you a lot Quote
