Croc Posted November 21, 2009 Posted November 21, 2009 (edited) i always buy new hardware to find out later something isn't 100% so i though i ask before my next purchase i'm after USB tuner that will be able to drive H-H motec on my ku-band dish plus v-box/acutator on c-bnad dish something that will work 100% with DVBViewer (including full DiSEqC support so i dont' have issues with my positioners and switch) and so i don't have to look for anything new too soon would be nice if it was S2 tuner TIA Edited November 21, 2009 by Croc Quote
Andrey123456 Posted November 23, 2009 Posted November 23, 2009 Very good LNB power IC is in TT-S2-3200 and TT-S-1401. It can allow more motor current before protection disconnects power. There is no DVB card that can be 100% good with positioner. There are many hardware issues not related to DVB card. I have S2-3200. It's a very good card, but not perfect. Quote
starman345 Posted November 23, 2009 Posted November 23, 2009 I have been using a Dvbworld 2104 USB Dvb-s2 device for over a year now. It works well with DVBViewer, it drives my 10 foot c/ku dish through my Gbox 3000. The c and ku voltage controlled lnbf is switched with a Spaun 4x1 switch. The setup works smoothly. The developers here helped in getting things working smoothly \ Have a look here http://www.DVBViewer.info/forum/index.php?...c=33695&hl= I can't say about how it works with a Usals motor, I've never tried it with mine. Maybe someone else has? Quote

Benarty Posted November 26, 2009 Posted November 26, 2009 Rather new on the scene: Media-pointer DVB-S2 dual No cam support yet , USB cam will be available around end 2009 till first quarter of 2010. If you receive on both input's the identical boequet, only one smartcard is needed. Based on Micronas design. My older floppy DVB-S2 is shifting it's tune frequency, now 1,4Mhz wrong and still rising. So I had to perform a blindscan again to find the channels. So I switched to the media-pointer. Still onlt FTA but I will use the floppy DTV-S2 till the cam is available. Quote
hwijers Posted February 19, 2010 Posted February 19, 2010 wikings1, Du you have a Usals motor connected on your Tevii 660 USB S2 device? I am using now a Anysee 30s2 USB device but is not working with the "goto angular" fuction in DVBViewer. So i'm thinking of buying an Tevii 660 USB S2 device. Quote
heronfisher Posted March 16, 2010 Posted March 16, 2010 If you're buying new kit, then go for DVB-S2 support; the BBC may move to it later, C4 already uses it, and it's likely new HD channels that launch may use it too - because it makes better use of capacity. The BBC don't use it right now because the HD channel shares a transponder with SD channels, and you can't mix DVB-S and S2 on the same transponder. Quote
