mborkP Posted November 27, 2009 Posted November 27, 2009 (edited) Hi, I know this is not recommended to setup DVBV that way but I wander what is the purpose of this option during setup. If I select this and also if I change usermode to 0 in ini file before starting the program I expect all the data files to be in DVBV main folder. However, it seems that some files are doubled or found only in directory C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\DVBViewer. This options also create some problems, ie. if I change the favorites and save the change the DVBV can't see the change. The saved file is in above directory, but the program reads the not changed file in main directory. Also, bringing the favorities from within OSD is rather random most of the time ie. once starts in favorities 1 next on 3 and so on. This is not a complain, just want to know what are the options for and if this is normal beheviour for the program running that way. This is on W7. I should add that I'm experimenting at this stage and this is a first time I got DVBV recording one and watching another program at the same time (different transponders) without using recording service. Thanks. Edited November 27, 2009 by mborkP Quote

VirtualStore is a feature of Vista and Windows 7 http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb756960.aspx and the reason why UserMode=0 in not in the setup. You should only use this mode if you know how to make sure that DVBViewer is able to write in its folder. http://en.DVBViewer.tv/wiki/Multiuser_mode Quote
mborkP Posted November 27, 2009 Author Posted November 27, 2009 Tjod, thanks a lot for the links and info I did give all rights to the DVBV main instalation folder but after a while of using it. I suppose I will remove the instalation and set it up again with the required rights in place, before starting of the program. Great hint Cheers Quote
