locazor Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 I am currently trying to get my Terratec Cinergy H7 with a CI-module to work with DVBViewer. I have a "TechniCrypt >>CXV<<" CAM that I am trying to use. The supplied Terratec Home Cinema does not work at all. I suspect that it has poor support for Windows 7 64-Bit. Free-to-air channels work just fine, but I cannot seem to get the encrypted channels to work. When I plug the H7 to my Mac and run EyeTV, I have no problem to watch the encrypted channels. Anyone who knows what I have to do in order for DVBViewer to recognize my CAM? Quote
Tjod Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 If the driver is correct installed you should be able to select the CI in Options > Hardware > External CI. Quote

Anyone who knows what I have to do in order for DVBViewer to recognize my CAM? I'm pretty damn sure that this is due to the driver installation or the driver as such, thus probably being an issue with Terratec and not with DVBViewer. I'm struggling with a connected area, where the drivers & hardware from Terratec H7 work fine under XP SP3, while under W7 Home 64 it took me several attempts get the driver installation to a point that DVBViewer recognises the device under the correct name instead of ???????????????? being due to a faulty registry entry. If one entry is wrong one can't rely on others. After several different routes of driver installation, SD is running fine under W7 Home 64, while receiving HD one discontinuity is chasing the one before. Did you use this TerraTec H7 - BDA Treiber Setup (32/64 Bit) installation routine? Will send a pm re. EyeTV & encryptet channels @Tjod I can watch encrypted channels, while the Options > Hardware > External CI is dimmed. Does that mean the driver isn't correctly installed even yet? Thanks for your time Quote
