krasno Posted December 5, 2009 Posted December 5, 2009 Hello just installed Win7. (3 days ago..) Works good using DVBViewer. BUT very often stored positions are ignored, like the v-box get no instructions to move. When that happens DVBViewer also locks and no channels shown, but it do register the signal level. If I restart PC it works, until I change to new sat position. If I use TransEdit it is not possible to move to next sat or any other sat-position for that matter. I say not possible, that means "sometimes you can after a restart sometimes not.."... I have checked for new drivers for the sat-card, but are only told the drivers ( from 2006) are the newest. It's a Technotrend S2 card. see attached "support file" additional information is: I have not yet installed any other programs on the PC also not any aditional software from Cyberlink including video. In one (estimated) out of 10 DvbViever starts I get BLUE-Screen.... unfortionally Win7 shuts down too fast so I don't get the erroor codes.. at least not yet.. I can't delete one of the attached zip files they are identica,l sorry... support.zip support.zip Quote

Griga Posted December 5, 2009 Posted December 5, 2009 You may also want to try the Vista driver from January 2009: http://www.tt-pc.de/2899/PC-Produkte.html If this doesn't work, I don't know... Quote
krasno Posted December 5, 2009 Author Posted December 5, 2009 (edited) tried again a few times after I deleted the card in Device manager and after few restarts and one blue screen, it looks like it works ,but the strange thing is I find channels using TransEdit, if I then change to DVBViewer it is dead , no signal, no channels work. The .ini file is stored in the correct folder ( where all the others are) If I change from one channel on one position to another channel on another position, nothing happens, (V-box don't move) and no signal anywhere, only way to change position is to use TransEdit or the buttoms on the V-box. Here it is possiblt to scan and find new channels so I asume I have signal... understood this way: no channles are visible in DVBViewer only in TransEdit. Any suggestions? didn't see your last message.. Will try that also.. but I installed Vista totally from scratz in April, including new drives,... but I'll give it a try Edited December 5, 2009 by krasno Quote
krasno Posted December 5, 2009 Author Posted December 5, 2009 reinstalled DVBViewer, now I have signal on Rai Uno... that's a start gotta sleep now.. will try more tomorrow.. Thanx for your help Griga, I will return with an update.. Quote
krasno Posted December 6, 2009 Author Posted December 6, 2009 Hello again DVBViewer works but the new TransEdit (VEr.3.5.1.0) don't find any channels at all... I have tried 5 different positions, have signal on them all if I turn DvbVieweer on, but it's like TransEdit don't have signal. I have messed around in settings and so on for a couple of hours now, but I can't find anything wrong anywhere.. If I choose a new sat-position, the V-box moves to correct position and I can move motor in "positioner" menu: means all that works. So now I am out of ideas... Any suggestion or brilliant ideas? thanx in avance PS I have made a new support.zip file, just in case it might help.. support.zip Quote

Now i can try to build W7 HTPC with my old Atom and this card Hello sounds interresting, I have been thinking about doing the same, but I have to buy another sat-card and CI, I never tried be course I am unsure how fast a PC is needed to run smooth, and lack of time.. bad excuse I know..I have an old PC, so I could have tried wth the card and CI I have ... Is an Atom processor enough? And what about Ram and videocard? and so on... Quote
