mistermentality Posted December 30, 2009 Posted December 30, 2009 Hello, just bought DVDviewer and bought two different dvb-s cards which will arrive soon, one I will give my dad and one is mine but I am unsure which would best suit my needs and hopefully some knowledgeable guys on here can advise? Card one is a K World DVB-S 100 card. It can also receive freeview through an aerial as well as freesat, I have read. Card two is a Compro Videomate S350 I favoured the S350 but seems most places charge more for the K World card, both are PCI cards, and I was wondering is the compro inferior? I can`t get Freeview where I am so key for me is which will work best with Windows 7 32 bit edition with DVBViewer and get me Freesat in the UK (I`1m in south Wales) including the HD channels. My setup is a Windows 7 pc with Pentium D dual core 3.4 Ghz CPU and 2 GB DDR ram. Could anyone advise which should be the preferred card please? Thanks Dave Quote
heronfisher Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 Video mate S350 - which does also display some oddities, such as tuning into a station fine using the TV- and of course I've searched the forum. Nothing seems to make a difference. Tuner hardware is a Comprodriver version for the Compro card? I cannot scan in PVRX2 using the Compro S350 - it crashes . Quote
