DVBLink epg problems with 4.2.1 -> DVBViewer 4.1.1 download?

Hi there,

I am using DVBViewer together with DVBLink for MCE integration. However, there is a problem with version 4.2.1, as epg.dat file gets really big if generated by DVBLink. This results in strange epg for some channels, and slow MCE response.

For that reason, I am currently using DVBViewer 4.0, as this is the one that I downloaded before I upgraded to 4.2.1.

It would be good if you can put 4.1.1 back to the list of downloads, as by the information from the DVBLink forum, this one didn't have this problem. Furthermore, it would be even better if you can check what might have caused this problem, and maybe have a fix in 4.3.1, if possible.

Thank you for your feedback.

No chance, only the version(s) available in the downloadsector. Other older versions wont be re-upped.

Looks more like have to be fixed in DVBLink?

Is DVBLink creating the EPG or DVBV?

OK, then i guess I would have to continue using 4.0.

DVBLink is using DVBViewer's epg.dat file but the problem is that, for some reason, it is growing enormous when epg generation triggered by DVBLink (90 Megs). Now, I am just a user of DVBLink also, and in their forums they are pointing out that since version of DVBViewer 4.2.1, epg is behaving weird (the same thing that was working before). And true, when I came back to 4.0 (using the same version of DVBLink), it is ok again...

Maybe you take a look at the 4.2.1 Changelog especially the chapter EPG Parsing. There are some changes thats right. But that changes are necessary for advancing DVBViewer. Maybe the DVBLink developers adjust their prog to avoid problems.
