EnzoF1 Posted January 21, 2010 Posted January 21, 2010 DVBViewer Pro 4.2.1.0 is incredibly slower than the previous version. Is this a known issue or is it just me¿ Everything takes longer, loading DVBViewer, viewing the timer window, OSD response, manual recording (and stop recording)....EPG window works as usual, as does channel switching. Any ideas, suggestions....¿ Quote
EnzoF1 Posted January 28, 2010 Author Posted January 28, 2010 The amount of support and / or feedback is astonishing....oh wait. Quote
Gioxy Posted January 28, 2010 Posted January 28, 2010 The amount of support and / or feedback is astonishingProbably because no other one have your prob and, overall, without a fresh support.zip nobody can really help you... And please take in mind that this is a voluntary forum, not a support call center... Quote
EnzoF1 Posted January 29, 2010 Author Posted January 29, 2010 (edited) I'm not asking for help, I'm just asking if it's normal that the latest version is slower in certain areas than the previous version. I run my own website with 25.000 members. If one of them asks me if a certain problem is normal, I can at least give an answer whether it's normal or not. And OVERALL ( ), I paid 15 euro for a bunch of 1's and 0's (which work incredibly well, btw), so I do expect some feedback for my cash. So, to get back to the point: Is this a normal phenomenon or is it just me¿ Because if it's just me, THEN I will ask for support and add the support.zip stuff. Edited January 29, 2010 by EnzoF1 Quote
ElecardFAN Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 (edited) Sorry, but i suppose in your case the problem is between keyboard and monitor I don't think that the current DVBViewer is slower than a previous one. The bottleneck where and still are the used codecs. As gioxy said, if you do not post further informations (support.zip) nobody can help you. Btw, the current version has a cpu usage of 4-5% while playing 1080i streams here, while older versions without the D3D output did not worked that fluently on my systems. EnzoF1 Posted January 30, 2010 Author Posted January 30, 2010 (edited) As gioxy said, if you do not post further informations (support.zip) nobody can help you. Again, I never asked for help, I asked for a simple yes or no answer. Seeing as I have that now, I can expand on the opening post by making it a support question.... BTW, I never had issues with previous versions and the used codecs, always worked awesome. It's the 4.2.1.0 version that's causing problems, and a 33% CPU load. Support file thingy will be on it's way if I can't figure this out myself. Thanks for the replies.... Edited January 30, 2010 by EnzoF1 Quote
