Problem, no audio / video, and no error message

Hello all,

I have installed DVBViewer and have neither audio nor video, and also no error messages.

When I start DVBViewer, I see the channel name, but no aspect ratio, or audio sampling kHz in the status bar, and the screen remains black and there is no audio as well.

The PC with windows XP pro SP3.

Ive had a working installation for 3-4 months.

im running DVBViewer and rec. service on my server with 2 clients.

 

this is what i have tried:

1. scanning for channels. found 540 channels so no problem

2. changing to other codecs. no luck

3. removing tuners and reinstalling them. no luck

4. changing the tuners handled by rec. service to be handled by the DVBViewer installation on the server. no luck

at the beginning i got an error message from xp that there was a problem with firesatapi.dll

5. changed the firesatapi.dll to the one from floppydtv driver. made the local DVBViewer install run but still no picture or sound.

 

i dont know what to try next.

maybe install DVBViewer again?

 

 

 

I have included the support.zip file and I hope someone can help me point out what I am missing or not doing right.

6. tried to install rec service and DVBViewer again. no luck

7. teletext is working!!!!

Well thats just lovely for you. Perhaps you would care to share with the class?

sorry for not elaboration on the issues i had.

i found out that the problem wasn't due to DVBViewer.

it was solved by shutting down all IT related equipment
