dvbrewer Posted March 3, 2010 Posted March 3, 2010 (edited) Here is a short recording of the Olympics curling (25MB) that is very useful to check if you are getting high quality deinterlacing with your H.264 decoder- look at the diagonals of the UK flag and the edges of the score circles, on the MS codec screenshot they are perfectly smooth, but on the CoreAVC screenshot they are clearly more jagged. fxv1 Posted March 12, 2010 Posted March 12, 2010 Hi, I've been a user of DVBViewer for about a year or so. Have previously ran DVBViewer on W7RC 64 Bit (using ATI 3870 AMD Quad core 9950 8GB Ram). All worked extremely well and had flawless display most of the time. Now I had to implement W7 32Bit (obviously only supporting 4G of Ram) with the same CPU and Video card.I am using the same option settings for DirectX but the results are very erratic. When viewing HD channels I get a lot of scrambled images for about 5 to 10 seconds and then further on the pictures don't always catch up and it all looks a bit messy. On the non HD the quality is more stable. For the HD I am using the Cyberling H264 decoder (as I was in w7rc 64 bit) . Anyone running W7 32 bit without any issues? I will probably move onto w7 64 bit soon but not for a while. I am using the latest Beta Version of DVBViewer. I am using the latest ATI CC driver. Any help on this appreciated. Many Thanks Quote

There was a well known problem with ATi cards and BBC HD in the UK and some German HD channels, supposedly the latest drivers fixed but seemingly not for you, you could try uninstalling the ATi driver using the ATi uninstall facility in Control Panel, restart and try reinstalling. Have you tried to use the Microsoft decoder instrad of Cyberlink? Quote
