Setup guide for streaming

Hi,

 

Could anyone advise what steps need to be followed to setup streaming to a client over a LAN.

 

I haven't found much about this in the forum and having never done so before I'd really appreciate some simple step by step guidance.

 

I was planning on using Unicast (and I have read the Wiki article on this) - is that the best method to use?

 

Apart from setting up the server side, what do I need to do at the client?

 

Is the streamed video decoded at the client by DVBViewer?

Best metod is to use the "DVBViewer Recording Services": for this sake you have to follow ALL the Recording Service Installation Guide...

I always assumed DVB Recording Services was just for recording so thanks for the tip.

 

I'll have a go a getting this running over the weekend.

I got this working yesterday on both Vista and XP - works great!

 

I copied my transponder ini file over to an XP machine, did a channel scan and now I can watch live TV and recordings.
