entrecour Posted March 3, 2010 Posted March 3, 2010 Hi, Could anyone advise what steps need to be followed to setup streaming to a client over a LAN. I haven't found much about this in the forum and having never done so before I'd really appreciate some simple step by step guidance. I was planning on using Unicast (and I have read the Wiki article on this) - is that the best method to use? Apart from setting up the server side, what do I need to do at the client? Is the streamed video decoded at the client by DVBViewer? Many thanks in advance. Quote
Gioxy Posted March 4, 2010 Posted March 4, 2010 Best metod is to use the "DVBViewer Recording Services": for this sake you have to follow ALL the Recording Service Installation Guide... Quote
entrecour Posted March 4, 2010 Author Posted March 4, 2010 I always assumed DVB Recording Services was just for recording so thanks for the tip. I'll have a go a getting this running over the weekend. Thanks! Quote
entrecour Posted March 7, 2010 Author Posted March 7, 2010 I got this working yesterday on both Vista and XP - works great! I copied my transponder ini file over to an XP machine, did a channel scan and now I can watch live TV and recordings. Great job! Quote
