Error in userdata crash at startup

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

I have exactly the same problem as the post

http://www.DVBViewer.info/forum/index.php?showtopic=39502

At startup DVBViewer 4.2.1 crashes with "Error in userdata" "Please install the DVBViewer with the correct data!".

Running Windows 7 x64. I have been running W7 x64 Beta and DVDBViewer 4 for a long time without problems. I attach the supporttool logs.

Machine is a Q9400 w 8GB mem, FireDTV tuner.

BTW there are two important issues with DVDBViewer that should be corrected as well:

Having to run DVBViewer as administrator is extremely bad practice. Its a serious security breach!

Giving up with error message "Error in userdata" without pinpointing exactly what went wrong is bad programming practice. It would save both you and me a lot of trouble with an accurate error description.

Thanks,

Best regards

This problem is typical for DVBViewer registered with blacklisted serial ;)

I'm the OP from http://www.DVBViewer.info/forum/index.php?showtopic=39502

and I can assure you my copy is legit and so is my serial number.

Still at least you took the time to reply, my thread has no respondees after nearly

a week. :bye:

In the meantime perhaps the OP of this thread would like to check out DVB Dream

a program that actually does work with win7x64. Shame I had to, but hey I didn't

buy a tv card not to watch tv.

I have a perfectly legal serisl and I'm willing to provide the Admin with a copy of your own registration email.

As stated before, 3.8 and 4.0 installs and works well. 4.2.1 does not.

Will you kindly answer in a respectful manner towards a fully paying client and provide details on how to solve this error?
