ProfTuners Posted March 9, 2010 Posted March 9, 2010 In "sources" section (http://DVBViewer.com/members/) there is source code. We can't find: 1. What DVB-devices are available in DVBViewer at the moment? 2. Which device is working at the moment? Pls, help. Quote
nuts Posted March 16, 2010 Posted March 16, 2010 (edited) You can use the Com-Interface to get which device is in use. IDVBHardware -> Hardwarename (take a look in the com doku) Edited March 16, 2010 by nuts Quote
evgen_ln Posted March 16, 2010 Posted March 16, 2010 It is not possible, you can get a list of available devices, as well as signal levels. But there is no possibility to determine which uses are specified for device (recording, playback or picture in picture ...). This issue was raised several times but Lars decided to leave everything as is. Quote
Lars_MQ Posted March 16, 2010 Posted March 16, 2010 It is not possible for a reason. There may or may not be a device active, there may be more than one device of this sort or a unknown combination of different devices active. The device maybe from a remote PC etc. So it's normally a NOT good idea to do a plugin which is dependent on active directshow components of certain hardware. Either you do it for all or if you want to access certain parts (remote) of a device, have the driver programmers seperate it completely from the directshow part. Everything else is simply a receipe for headache (both for the programmers and the users). Quote
ProfTuners Posted March 22, 2010 Author Posted March 22, 2010 (edited) Lars_MQ, for example. DVBViewer have connected BDA Prof-7301 PCI and BDA Prof-7500 USB. We must receive Remote Control commands from Prof-7301 PCI or from Prof-7500 USB? Or randomize? Now we created RC plugin for 1 device. I confirm that customers with some DVB-devices in system will have problem with RC in DVBViewer Pro. The only way - it is recommended to use DVBViewer with only one DVB-card.
