djon Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 (edited) Sometimes I experience that recordings with DVBViewer doesn't have the correct play length. Instead of a recording showing as 2 hours long in a player, it starts by being 20 seconds longer than the actual position and then increases while I watch the recording. This is a problem when I try to FF or skip, as the player then thinks it has reached the end of the file and stops. This mean that when the recording has this bug, I can only FF very slowly. I use XBMC on Linux and a Popcorn Hour to play the recordings. What is the cause of this sporadic defect in the files and how can it be fixed? Edited March 23, 2010 by djon Quote
Griga Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 What kind of recording? MPG? TS? Does DVBViewer show the correct length? Quote
djon Posted March 23, 2010 Author Posted March 23, 2010 .TS I'll test if DVBViewer itself shows the correct length. XBMC and Popcorn Hour however does not, so something must be wrong. Remember this only happens sometimes, maybe around a third of the recordings, so I can't find any obvious reason why some of them have this defect. Quote

The Stream Patcher, available in DVBViewer download section, will fix this for you. Quote
