jmetsako Posted April 29, 2010 Posted April 29, 2010 Hi My recording service is working generally very well, but I found small bug? When using xbmc or ps3 as an front-end those clients won’t show recordings category correctly trough UPNP. Only some of id’s are shown correctly but most of content categories are “unkown” in xbmc end. You can easily see it with windows xbmc for example, if you recording txt do not have any content set, just add “Content=17” for example. That didn’t work me, btw 17 stands for “detective/thriller” in rc_english.lng Recording service version 1.5.0.31 Beta XP 32bit SP3 XBMC windows 9.11 Regards Jani
Lars_MQ Posted April 29, 2010 Posted April 29, 2010 Well if there is no content then there is no content. Quite simple and no bug.
jmetsako Posted April 29, 2010 Author Posted April 29, 2010 I wanted manually sort more recordings, since content "tagging" is not to widely used in Finland. If I add content to description txt it should be visible through UPNP. So it's still bug Thanks Jani
Lars_MQ Posted April 29, 2010 Posted April 29, 2010 No it isn't. The data resides in the database. The fileinfo or infofiles are only used for reading back the data on a refresh or import.
jmetsako Posted April 29, 2010 Author Posted April 29, 2010 I did not remeber mention that in my initilal post that I deleted old database and run refresh from web page. Sorry about my missing details. But it still bug.
Lars_MQ Posted April 29, 2010 Posted April 29, 2010 My guess: You have also the fileinfo in the recording and these data are preferred over the infofile. So still no bug Maybe you try this little tool: http://www.DVBViewer.info/forum/index.php?...st&p=274824 . It does set/copy the fileinfo and info file . Just drag'n'drop the recording (ts/mpeg) file (!!) into the program window and change the values. After that you can clean/refresh the db an the new values will be shown in UPnP... Just remember to save the data in the tool, it will not be done automatically!
jmetsako Posted April 29, 2010 Author Posted April 29, 2010 No bug you where right I was able to "reset" ts content info by setting it as "unknown". Now txt content acts as "primary" info. Many thanks. I assume that there is no command line version of "delprops.exe"? Would be handy to set content "unknown" in command line. br. Jani
jmetsako Posted April 30, 2010 Author Posted April 30, 2010 Actual best for my usage would be solution where with option source of recording "info" could be chosen. Either txt or ts file. Like new system wide setting
jmetsako Posted May 4, 2010 Author Posted May 4, 2010 Actual I got one better and more suitable idea. Since there is this "Serie" feature in Search EPG could that been shown an one Recordings "main" category in UPNP? That would be sweet and no extra hassle would be needed with content manipulation. br. Jani
