How slow can you go? With 2x DVB-S

Hey

I admit I am trying to push my system to the LIMIT!

I have got a P4 3,0 Ghz computer running Win7 + Latest BETA´s of DVBViewer and Recording Service.

2 x DVB-S1/S2 cards. Hauppauge NOVA and Tevii USB S660

Live TV runs fine no problems also HD channels are ok.

My problem is that when I use both cards at the same time I get errors in the recordings. Does not matter if I record 1 channel and watch live tv on another channel or if I record 2 channels at the same time.

Whenever I use both cards there are errors in the recordings.

The CPU usage is "only" at about 50-60 percent so I don´t understand why I get these errors???

Any suggestions or is it simply my old computer that is to slow although CPU is not at 100%.

I don´t know how to edit my posts?

By the way it does not matter if I record 2 SD channels or watch 1 SD channel + record another SD channel.

With HD channels same problem.

I can see the errors in the log and in the webinterface of the Recording Service and the recorded movies are as close as possible to be unwatchable.

It's most likely a hardware/driver problem. Do the errors occur if you switch channels? Do you use Diseqc?

Hey

I am using 2x Spaun 2/1 Diseqc

I have the newest drivers from Hauppauge and Tevii installed.

I have tried both with the RS "owning" the tuners and with DVBViewer "owning" them. It did note make any difference.

Watching 1 channel or recording 1 channel at a time is no problem.

Errors occur even when I am only recording 2 channels without watching 1 of them.

Errors also occur if I am wathcing 1 channel and recording 1 channel at the same time.

§ 13 (Forum rules)

Do not ask for or discuss plugins for descrambling/decrypting pay-tv or key-codes.

Although the DVBViewer Pro provides full pay-tv functionality it must only be used in combination with a valid subscription of a pay-tv provider, a tv-card/box featuring a "conditional access module" (CAM)and/or the corresponding "common interface" (CI) with a smart-card. This applies regardless whether software-descrambling is allowed in your country or not.
