Bill9 Posted May 17, 2010 Author Posted May 17, 2010 I followed your link with no success...I will try to restate the situation....I cannot send the scan results to the DBViewer. thanks in advance Quote
Lars_MQ Posted May 17, 2010 Posted May 17, 2010 Yes, you restated the situation but you didn't explain. What are you doing exactly and where does it not work? Quote
Bill9 Posted May 17, 2010 Author Posted May 17, 2010 after scanning a satellite and trans edit finds channels I use the button select all and they are highlighted. I want to send these channels to DVBViewer and there is no button to click on to send these channels to the viewer. under settings>scanner 1>I have the update channel names box checked. when I go to DVBViewer thes channels are not there. Bill9 Posted May 17, 2010 Author Posted May 17, 2010 it does NOT have its own folder under the Dvbviewe folder Quote
starman345 Posted May 18, 2010 Posted May 18, 2010 it does NOT have its own folder under the Dvbviewe folder Yes, I realize that, what I'm asking...is transedit.exe in the DVBViewer folder? And are you using a shortcut to start Transedit? If so its target should be transedit.exe in the DVBViewer folder. It sounds like you are running Transedit but it can't find DVBViewer Quote
Bill9 Posted May 18, 2010 Author Posted May 18, 2010 YES..it is in the DVBViewer folder.....the target C:\programfiles\DVBViewer\transedit.exe.........transedit.exe is a 5K application with a date of 3/17/2010 Quote
Griga Posted May 18, 2010 Posted May 18, 2010 Is the Analyze button in the TransEdit main window enabled? Quote
Bill9 Posted May 18, 2010 Author Posted May 18, 2010 YES it is .....all seems fine till I try to use the add/update button........I can preview the channels ..or analyze the channels...... Quote
Griga Posted May 18, 2010 Posted May 18, 2010 Strange. According to the program code export is enabled under the following conditions: - TransEdit is part of a valid DVBViewer installation. - TransEdit can access the DVBViewer channellist (requires the file UserMode.ini). - Scanning is finished. - The orbital position of the transponder list is set resp. not 0.0 (an attempt to scan orbital position 0.0 will be rejected with an error message anyway). - Scan results are selected (applies to the Add/Update and Export button) - Filter 3 -> Already Present Channels is ticked (applies to the Update All button). Bill9 Posted May 21, 2010 Author Posted May 21, 2010 (edited) I have it working at about 94 per cent....it does not update if I scan the same sat and frequency on a succeeding day(S-2 transmission...I have not tried it on regular SD. At one time my HTPC had an old version on it and it seemed to cause the problem. I deleted everything having to do with DVBViewer and started over and most every thing works.
