vondoogle Posted May 19, 2010 Posted May 19, 2010 Hi, Is there a user manual for setting up the Dvb Pro Server? Is it designed to stream media to other device via multicast? I can use VLC to stream recorded video to another PC on my network, but couldn't get the Pro server to do the same. When I put in a multicast address in the settings it stays red but is in the correct multicast range? Von Quote
Gioxy Posted May 20, 2010 Posted May 20, 2010 It's way better to use RecService instead of DVBViewer Server, look here why... To set up it there is a Recording Service Installation Guide in the Wiki; please follow ALL instructions, especially how to configure the DVBViewer client part... Anyhow at the end of the former mentioned post thare are a link to a DVBServer setup guide... ...hope it helps... Quote

vondoogle Posted May 20, 2010 Author Posted May 20, 2010 Thanks for the replies guys, I will have a good read through and a play at the weekend and see if I can get things going, just one quick question If I use DVB server to broadcast I should still be able to get the stream (multicast) on the remote PC with VLC right?
