McenterFreak Posted May 19, 2010 Posted May 19, 2010 (edited) Maybe this is not a bug, but i would like to know why this i happening to my congiguration When i record, i get errors like this in the recording, and it is reported in the log: DR HD (Sattelit) 19-05-2010 G:\Recorder\05-19_23-50-01_DR HD (Sattelit)_Ekspedition Guyana.ts Device: FireDTV BDA Tuner DVBS2 (1) 23:50:02 / 00:00:00 (~ 0,0 MB) Start 23:50:02 / 00:00:00 (~ 0,0 MB) Errors: 1 23:50:03 / 00:00:01 (~ 0,1 MB) Errors: 9 23:50:05 / 00:00:03 (~ 0,2 MB) Errors: 15 23:50:06 / 00:00:04 (~ 2,2 MB) PID 514: H.264 Video, 16:9, 1280x720, 50 fps 23:50:06 / 00:00:04 (~ 2,2 MB) PID 648: AC3 Audio 5.1, 48 khz, 448 kbps I have had this problem for a long time, but considered it to be a result of poor allignement of my dish. But yesterday i had a professionel, with all the professionel gear, to test my dish, and cable. He said that i have exceptionel good signal quality and strength So my question is: Why do i still get errors in my recordings? Atached support ZIP from my server, where Recording Service is installed Edited May 19, 2010 by McenterFreak Quote

McenterFreak Posted May 20, 2010 Author Posted May 20, 2010 ..nothing much. Just cut the first couple of seconds. But sometimes there are also errors later in the file, what do you think this could be? Quote
Derrick Posted May 20, 2010 Posted May 20, 2010 But sometimes there are also errors later in the file, what do you think this could be? ..then the 1st example wasn't very wisely choosen Do you use diseq-switches? Pls. describe your signal distribution from dish to pc. Quote

I didnt think that the position of the errors was important, but you got a point there. I use only one dish with a dual head. My provider is Canal Digital on 0.8W. No diseq switches. The cables goes directly from the LNB's to my two FireDTV boxes. Quote
Derrick Posted May 20, 2010 Posted May 20, 2010 ..there's a built in switch inside of your monoblock check whether the recording errors occur when you switch with the other card to a different channel (both sats) Quote
McenterFreak Posted May 21, 2010 Author Posted May 21, 2010 ..there's a built in switch inside of your monoblock check whether the recording errors occur when you switch with the other card to a different channel (both sats) Did this: Startet a recording in Recording service, used FireDTV tuner 1 Startet DVBViewer on a client, tuned a channel with different transponder, to be shure FireDTV tuner 2 was used Made a lot of channel swithcing on the client. But no errors in the recorded file, made by tuner 1 Quote
Derrick Posted May 21, 2010 Posted May 21, 2010 No further ideas... ..but there's one possible inconsistency in your support.zip. The status of one of your 2 firedtv-s2 devices is active in the DVBViewer and the recording service. Quote

In that case i first stop the recording service Quote
