Cinergy S2 PCI HD CI + Motorized System

Hi,

I own a Cinergy S2 PCI HD CI attached to a motorized system and I have some problem and suggestions. It's attached to a DiseqC to superjack II box ( http://www.mondotec.it/product.asp?ProdID=2161 ) that can control my dish just pretty well using a humax 5400.

DVBViewer works pretty well too ( the only DVB software that worked, in fact! ) but there are some annoying bugs, and sometimes I need to reboot the system because it didn't accept more diseqc command.. ( argh! I know! My english is poooooor, I'm sorry )

It seems to happen when I send two or three commands too quickly from one to other, maybe adding a delay from two commands can help?

Another little bug: with the Superjack in stanby mode, if I change satellite, the box wake up and move by only one step instead of doing all the movements. So I have to select another channel in another satellite and then back to the one I want to watch.

Can this thinks been corrected or they are Terratec driver behaviors?

Suggestion: can you add some quality/signal bars for help finding the right position of the satellite? Or a button that automatically scans the nearest point for a better quality signal? Right now is relly hard to find the best position of the dish.

Anyway, your work for DVBViewer is really impressive. Thank you very much!

Hello, I have the same card and use the latest 1.01.01.901 driver from Terratec. The card can drive a motor without problems but with earlier drivers I had the same problem as you did and had to reboot every now and then to get the motor to respond. Have you tried controlling the motor without your Superjack?

I had updated the drivers to the latest beta but with no luck. I can't use the motor without the Superjack, it's a Jaegger motor and can only be drived through the Superjack.

I can tell you that with the latest beta drivers it's a bit better.

I still miss a Quality Signal bar for better positioning. :D

Thank you anyway.
