nirux
I managed to get the webserver working and interface is accessible from other computers on LAN. But I fail open the stream with VLC on both server and other computers, tried both embedded and direct connection. My first thought of problem source was the windows firewall but I have checked that applications are OK (white list) and also disabled the firewall without any better results. majstang
Create a virtual webserver (HTTP) on your router and open port 80. This traffic should be directed to your server IP (if not already created statcic IPs for each PC in LAN do that). When this is done portforward port 7522 also on router, use server IP here as well. Then test if streaming works. Edited July 18, 2010 by majstang Link to comment

nirux
First, I like to thank all above for quick replies in this thread! Try enable "Direct connection" in the web interface. I have tried both direct connection and embedded stream, no success, same error as you can see in the VLC log in previous posts. Maybe some good night sleep will solve the problem Link to comment

Streaming recordings were no problem, cuz it uses same port as the webserver which is already opened (virtual server). I have the same router as you and it seem to use public and private ports and I dont know how it applies the firewall rules on these ports, but in this case the private port seem to be on the wrong side of the firewall and blocked. If the portforward on router will not work, check your firewall on both server and client pc. Open port 7522 for both server IP and client IP. Also, i havent managaed to get embedded streaming to work yet. Did ask Lars about how to get this going but no answer. But not streaming LiveTV-direct connection, Unable to open 'http://127.0.0.1:7522/upnp/channelstream/0.ts'. I'm stuck at the moment, can't figure out why there's no stream at 7522 even if trying to stream local at the server. Edited July 19, 2010 by nirux Link to comment
