renzz Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 Operating System: Windows 7 64-bit TV-Cards: Hauppauge Nova-TD-500 dual DVB-T tuner, Hauppauge Nova-S-USB2 DVB-S tuner, Avermedia A808 DVB-T single tuner, Technotrend TT-S23600 DVB-S Drivers: Latest versions from Hauppauge website Mainboard: Asus P6X58D-E Graphics card: Nvidea 9800GT driver 197.45 I've just built a new PC and have the above hardware installed. However, I have an odd problem. I have the Nova-TD-500 set as Preferred (both tuners), and if I start a recording of a terrestrial channel, it works ok and uses the Nova-T-500. However, if I start with no recordings active, start two recordings of satellite channels on different transponders, they start on each DVB-S device, but if I then start a recording of a terrestrial channel, it doesn't start at all, and the svcdebug log show "no hardware". It doesn't even start it on the Avermedia DVB-T tuner. The key factor seems to be the Hauppauge Nova-S-USB2 - whenever there is a recording active on that, the recording service will not use the Hauppauge Nova-T devices. I've attached a support.zip. Thanks support.zip
Lars_MQ Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 somehow the system thinks those are hybrid devices. A bug. But you can fix it yourself for the moment: - Stop the recording service. - open the file svchardware.xml in the [your configurationfolder]\config folder with notepad. - search for the DVB-T entries and change the "DeviceNr" to 4 respective 5
renzz Posted August 13, 2010 Author Posted August 13, 2010 Thanks for the quick reply Lars. I now have all five devices recording simultaneously
xino_gasco Posted December 1, 2011 Posted December 1, 2011 I still do not know where the bug .... anyone can be more specific please ...
