various questions & vhr-4400 remote

hello to all, i'm new here

first, thanks for the very fast email/answer to the paypal bill (less then 1 hour)

second, the soft works great , much better then the budleld one

 

i have some newbie questions:

i have 2 sat (actually working) regular subscription, but i have problems with the hd dvb-s2 channels: with one provider all fine, with another one i have many graphical glitch (same sat position and good signal)

the pc runs xp sp3, with a geforce 9600, 2gb of ram, amd 5200+ processor, and the os is pretty clean (no software slowdown) and the sat card is an hauppage hvr-4400, tested with the latest stable release and the latest beta as well

i think that can be a codec problem, but i tried some of it (purevision nvidia, another one divx.something free discovered here in the forum) but nothing seems to change

the question: what's a good/better mpeg2 and h264 codec to use? (better if free, but a low cost one is ok as well)

is needed any particular setup for see an dvb-s2 video?

 

another one: with this sat card there is a good quality bundled remote command:

is there any chance to use it with DVBViewer?

if is needed something not complex (i dont' know eg: for discover/send the remote codes but i don't know how to do it) i'm aivalable for it
