dvbrewer
At the moment you can select date, time, station (channel), event (programme), and title as elements of the filename in Options>Recorder>Recordings>File Naming Scheme. Often, the episode information is contained in the first few words of the title rather than in the event name, however, the title can also be very long, obscuring other elements of the filename, so, could you add an option to select an abbreviated title, of say, the first six words which can enable the episode to be identified, or allow the user to specify how many words of the title to include in the filename? Tjod
%tshort = the (Sub)Title (if any) shortened to 80 chars. http://en.DVBViewer.tv/wiki/Timer_concept_of_the_DVBViewer_Recording_Service#Recording_file_name Quote Link to comment
dvbrewer
Thanks, didn't know about that- I think for english though, 80 is a bit unnecessary to just get the episode name, at most I have found it at 35 characters, so maybe a max 40 character %tvshort would be nice also.
