Laserwave Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 After upgrading to v4.5, I get frequent freezes with EVR. Trying the custom renderer seems to make things worse, although it is random and sometime the problem is not so apparent. I mostly use the Microsoft video decoder which didn't have any problems with the previous DVBV version, and hardware de-interlaces nicely in both MPEG 2/4. Video card: Asus ENGT240/DI/1GD3, Nvidia 258.96, Intel P35 chipset, Hauppauge HVR-4000 (driver v.2.125.28070.0 included in wintv 2.2, WinTV not installed). support.zip Quote
Lars_MQ Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 try another audio (AC3Filter) and video (Cyberlink -> activate DXVA) decoder. Quote
hollymolly Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 4.5 runs perfectly fine on Windows 7 with EVR on "weak" hardeware/gpu" for sd and hd. finally i have "laufschriften" on n-tv withouth stutters for hours. but every 10th channel switch i don get the station. then i have to switch back and forward to tune. anybody else? wasnt that bad with 4.3 beta Quote
Laserwave Posted October 15, 2010 Author Posted October 15, 2010 (edited) try another audio (AC3Filter) and video (Cyberlink -> activate DXVA) decoder. Thanks, I tried that and various other filter combinations but it didn't help. So, I put back an ATI 4650 card, and problem solved... Clearly it's not a matter of power since the nVidia is more powerful, but probably something to do with their x64 drivers (also had many crashes). Edited October 15, 2010 by Laserwave Quote
