Dual/single monitor - window lost

I use 2 monitors in extend mode regularly, but sometimes I'm only on one. DVBV remembers the previous 2-monitor situation, and when I press "hide all" in 1-monitor mode, the window disappears, obviously 'moving' to the 2nd monitor which is not available. Is there a way around this?

If you use W7 try cycling the active window through the monitors with "Win + ->" several times.

Yes, but that just cycles between modes: Monitor 1, Duplicate (Clone), Extend, Monitor 2. If I watch DVBV on extend mode/monitor 2, close DVBV, switch to monitor 1 alone (Computer only), I cannot use "Hide All" without turning extend mode on again.

edit: I confused your suggestion with Win+P, thanks very much, Win+cursor gets the window back, although it'd be nice if this was handled automatically.

are you using a nvidia card? if so is enough enable the nview desktop manager from the control panel, with it you can send any app to any monitor without using both monitor

dx mouse click on the app label in the bottom of the main screen then nview option then move app/window to the needed monitor

i'm using xp and works fine
