Windows 7 64 bit + DVBViewer Pro 4.5 + UAC notification: video disappears

I found, that every time an application is opened than requires UAC or occasionally when DVBViewer switches from Full screen to Window mode, the picture freezes or disappears (black).

The sound continues normally. Switching channels works, with no picture.

Rebuild graph doesn't solve the problem either.

Closing the program, and restarting, and everything is back to normal.

This happens with HD and MPEG channels, so with different Directx codecs.

This doesn't happen with D3DExclusive=0.

Unfortunately I have several programs that ask for UAC upon starting.

The User (Windows 7) is member of 'Administrators'.

Installing version 4.5 did have a problem too: only when I logged on as User 'Administrator', the installer succeeded installing the Filters.

The option D3DExclusive=1 is needed to reduce the stutter on H264 channels (and does a great job).

And changing User Account Settings to notify "Never", isn't good practice.

Even without UAC but with D3DExclusive=1 image is freezing ar DVBViewer startup.

Use D3DExclusive=0 and UAC=0, if you have an good antivirus like Kaspersky, Esset, Outpost.

Using D3DExclusive=0 results in more stutter and some artifacts on HD channels.

The odd thing is, the black video, only happens, when DVBViewer switches from Full screen to Windowed, when it has been started for the first time after a Reboot or Shutdown.

Restarting DVBViewer, and the back screen after switching from full screen, doesn’t happen again (accept for UAC).

Maybe this gives a clue on what causes this bug?

Fulco, Using D3DExclusive=0 results in more stutter and some artifacts on HD channels in v4.5

In v4.3XX all was ok with D3DExclusive=0.

First artifacts that i see on HD channels was on v4.5, i use graphstudio and see that ffdshow is always activated even if i choose microsoft codec.

I lower ffdshow to see if that artifacts appear on hd now in DVBViewer.

Regarding this:

I could reproduce this over and over, but till it's fixed only solution is D3DExclusive=0. With D3DExclusive=0 this bug does not appear when you open for the first time DVBViewer.

Nevertheless I find DVBViewer a superb program!

It is stable and has (almost) all the features I want from a Satellite viewing and Recording program.

Problems with Microsoft’s UAC are found in many programs.

Rather expensive programs, are not even bothered to implement it correctly.

Since the high latency issues, related to my sounds card, are fixed, I found no need to set D3DExclusive=1 anymore.
